My first job after uni was teaching, I worked as an art teacher at Columbia Grammar School in New York City. I love working with people to encourage their creativity and/or practice in a hands-on way. I have worked in over fifty schools in East Anglia with children and adults and run occasional courses from my glorious strawbale studio. If you want to try a new way of making, I can run a class for an individual or a group. Prices for one-to-one teaching begins at £100 for half a day, materials and snacks included. Egg Tempera
I use this medium to build layers and create a quality of light. I work with egg yolk and pigment on panels gessoed with nine layers of rabbit skin glue and whiting.. My goal will be for you to find your own way of working with this exciting medium.

For me, pastel on book pages is about the synthesis of text and image, about the false history you can create and the aesthetic, tactile quality of pastel on the page. We can create a sketchbook from an old book and I can show you how to use it to document your world.
